Collapse during infrastructure work in Van: Worker trapped under soil loses his life

A collapse occurred during infrastructure work being carried out on the route to the Kapıköy Border Gate in the Saray district of Van. Construction worker Metin Güneş (42), who was trapped under the soil in the collapse, lost his life.

The incident took place yesterday around 16:00 in the work area where new businesses were being built on the border gate route. Güneş, who was learned to be a father of 4, remained under the soil during the collapse that occurred while work was underway.
