Out-of-wedlock child compensation for the 'King of Nuts': Pay for baby bottles and toys
Cengiz Er, a famous businessman from Gaziantep who is married and a father of three, had a child out of wedlock with his 23-year-old mistress, E.M., who lives in İzmir. E.M. filed a lawsuit against Cengiz Er through her lawyer, Varol Turbay. While the court ordered the famous businessman to pay 105 thousand TL in compensation, it also ruled that Cengiz Er must cover 23 thousand TL in expenses ranging from the baby's high chair, baby bottles, and stroller to hygiene and health products, toys, and medical examinations, and ordered a monthly child support payment of 3 thousand TL.
Cengiz Er, a famous businessman from Gaziantep who is among Turkey's leading nut manufacturers and is married with three children, had an affair with E.M., a 23-year-old university student living in İzmir.
A child was born from this relationship in 2020. E.M. filed a lawsuit against Cengiz Er through Lawyer Varol Turbay.

According to the report by Ceyhan Torlak from Sabah; as part of the paternity suit, it was decided by court order that a DNA sample be taken from Cengiz Er.
FOUND TO BE THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER WITH 99.99 PERCENT CERTAINTY
Cengiz Er, who had been avoiding the DNA test, was apprehended and a sample was taken. The examination conducted at the Council of Forensic Medicine determined that the child's biological father is the famous businessman with 99.99 percent certainty.
Lawyer Varol Turbay also filed a compensation lawsuit at the İzmir 13th Civil Court of First Instance for 'failure to acknowledge paternity'.
WON 105 THOUSAND IN COMPENSATION
The compensation lawsuit at the İzmir 13th Civil Court of First Instance concluded on June 4. The court sentenced businessman Cengiz Er to pay 105 thousand lira in compensation.
The court also ruled that Cengiz Er must pay 23 thousand 228 lira in expenses for the baby, ranging from the high chair, baby bottles, and stroller to hygiene and health products, toys, and medical examinations, and ordered a monthly child support payment of 3 thousand lira.
COURT AWARDED FULL COMPENSATION
Speaking about the verdict, lawyer Varol Turbay said, "The court accepted the full amount of compensation we requested in the lawsuit we filed in 2021 for 'failure to acknowledge paternity.' It did not apply any reductions. Furthermore, it decided that the 23 thousand in expenses for the baby's birth, care, baby bottles, high chair, and toys be paid. Additionally, monthly child support of 3 thousand lira was ordered until the summer of 2028."
