Consecutive warnings from the Bursa Governor's Office
The Bursa Governor's Office has issued another warning due to the severe southwesterly wind (lodos) and storm that continue to affect the city. According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it was reported that the wind in Bursa will blow strongly from the south and west.
In the statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that between January 10-11, 2026, the wind is expected to blow as a strong wind and storm at speeds of 50-70 kilometers per hour, and as a strong storm reaching 80-90 kilometers per hour in some areas.
AThe statement warned that due to adverse weather conditions, citizens should be cautious and take precautions against risks such as transportation disruptions, roof flying off, tree and utility pole collapses, as well as stove and natural gas-related flue gas poisoning.
In order to protect life and property safety, it is advised not to go out on the road with motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, and scooters unless necessary during these dates.It was emphasized that one should not go out, and in cases of necessity, maximum attentionshould be paid and necessary safety precautionsshould be taken, highlighting their importance.
The warningwas reported to be valid from 13:00 on January 10, 2026, until 09:00 on January 11, 2026.It wasannounced.
