Convicted for impersonating a commander, this time he became a fake police officer

In recent months, 28-year-old Semih B., who introduced himself as an officer or non-commissioned officer, failed to pay taxi fares by claiming he would pay via IBAN. The taxi drivers, realizing they had been defrauded, reported the situation to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and filed a complaint. Semih B., who was caught as a result of investigations by the police, appeared before a judge on February 14. At the end of the hearing, Semih B. was sentenced to a total of 7 years and 6 months in prison for "Unlawful Use of Special Signs and Uniforms" and "Qualified Fraud." Taking into account the sentence received and the fact that the right to appeal was open, it was decided to release Semih B. from custody.

SUMMER POLICE UNIFORM GAVE HIM AWAY 

After being released following his conviction, Semih B. this time wore a police uniform. Semih B., who was walking the streets in a summer uniform, caught the attention of the police. Knowing that, according to the Ministry of Interior's regulations, winter uniforms were still in effect, the police teams became suspicious of Semih B. and wanted to perform a background check. When the suspect's inquiry revealed he was wanted for fraud, he was taken into custody. Semih B., who was referred to the police station, stated in his initial interrogation that he had mental health issues and said, "I like official uniforms, that's why I wear them." Meanwhile, it was learned that the processing of Semih B. at the police station is ongoing.
