Court ruling on woman who left her newborn on a terrace

19-year-old Z.U.K., who came to Bodrum from Kyrgyzstan to work about 5 months ago, went to the hospital last Friday complaining of heavy blood loss. Realizing that the woman had given birth, medical personnel notified the police.

The teams, who took the woman's statement, then went to the staff housing. Searching the housing where the woman stayed, the teams encountered the baby wrapped in a towel on the terrace.

Checks performed by medical teams determined that the baby had lost its life.

It was determined that the young woman had given birth by her own means and went to the hospital when her bleeding did not stop. After her statement, the woman was taken back to the hospital and was detained following her treatment. It was learned that the woman stated in her testimony that the baby died while she was giving birth. 19-year-old Z.U.K. was referred to the courthouse today. Z.U.K. was arrested by the court she was brought before at the courthouse and sent to prison.
