Teams took action in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district following reports of cracking sounds coming from a 7-story building. It was discovered that tiles in the bathroom of an apartment on the third floor of the building, located on 3rd Güneş Street in the İnönü neighborhood, had cracked.
Upon notification by the building's residents, fire, municipal, and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The Küçükçekmece Municipality Disaster Affairs Directorate teams initiated an inspection of the building.

After initial checks, it was decided to temporarily evacuate the 14-apartment building against potential risks. Residents were allowed to take a few belongings with them to meet their urgent needs.

During the evacuation process, municipal police teams set up a security cordon around the building. Pedestrian and vehicle access was halted in a controlled manner.

After the residents were moved out, the building's door was sealed. It was learned that detailed technical inspections of the structure are ongoing.
