Decision made for City Restaurants: They will be closed
The City Restaurants (Kent Lokantaları), which offer affordable meals in Istanbul, will close their doors during the Eid al-Adha holiday and resume service on June 10.
The City Restaurants, operated in cooperation with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and some CHP-run district municipalities, will be closed during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which lasts from June 6 to June 9.
Following the end of the holiday, the restaurants will resume service on June 10 and continue to provide affordable meals to citizens.
The City Restaurants have gained popularity, especially among low-income citizens, by offering three courses and a dessert for an affordable price of 40 TL. However, it will not be possible to benefit from this service during the holiday. Municipal officials stated that the restaurants will return to their normal operating schedule after the holiday.
