The Şırnak Governor's Office has announced that demonstrations, marches, and outdoor meetings have been banned for 3 days throughout the city center and all districts.

Demonstrations, marches, and outdoor meetings banned for 3 days in Şırnak

In a statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was reported that all programs, excluding events deemed appropriate by the Governor's Office and District Governor's offices, programs organized by public institutions and organizations, official holidays, and sports competitions, have been banned from August 14 to 16.

The statement included the following:

"In line with the stated objectives, all kinds of open-air meetings and demonstration marches, mass welcoming and farewell ceremonies, press statements held by institutions and organizations outside their own buildings, sit-ins, rallies, tent pitching, signature campaigns, setting up stands, mass funeral ceremonies, memorial services, festivals, concerts, entertainment, theatrical performances, all actions and events of a demonstration nature, all kinds of audio and visual activities that can be carried out with sound broadcasting vehicles, all kinds of aerial activities such as sky lanterns, balloon releases, drones, and paramotors, as well as the distribution of flyers and brochures, and the hanging of posters and banners—excluding the commercial activities of private legal entities with a commercial identity—have been banned for 3 days throughout the entire provincial territory, including the city center and all districts."
