Deployment of vehicles and personnel from Turkey continues to combat fire in Syria
A forest fire that broke out in the Kesab region of Syria has spread to the Yayladağı district of Hatay. Vehicles and personnel have been deployed from Hatay to Syria to combat the fire, which has grown due to the wind.
The fire broke out in a forested area in the Kesab region of the city of Latakia, located at the zero point of the Turkey-Syria border, at around 15:30. While the fire caused concern among citizens living in the Yayladağı district of Hatay, the flames spread into Turkey.
Teams dispatched to the Yayladağı district began responding to the flames in a short time.

Seeking to bring the flames under control across the border, the teams crossed into Syria to intervene in the fire.
The deployment of vehicles and personnel from the Yayladağı Border Gate to Syria to combat the fire is ongoing.
