Heavy rainfall, which intensified in Istanbul, caused flooding in the city's northern districts. In Beykoz, the flow rate of the Riva Creek increased, causing it to overflow and leaving surrounding greenhouses, nurseries, and some businesses underwater.
The areas affected by the flooding were captured from the air. It was observed that muddy water spread over a wide area, submerging agricultural lands and businesses around the creek. Sources indicated that there was no major disruption to transportation in the region.
As the rainfall intensified in Beykoz, some roads were also covered with water. Drivers struggled to proceed, and some vehicles became stuck in puddles. It was reported that water filled the interiors of some cars and that those trapped in their vehicles experienced difficult moments.

It was also reported that a bridge over the Çamlıbahçe Creek in the district collapsed. The color of the water around the bridge turned brown due to the mud brought by the rain; some parked vehicles were seen leaning against iron barriers.

BRIDGE SUBMERGED IN ŞİLE
The downpour was also effective in Şile. While roads turned into lakes in many parts of the district, homes and businesses were flooded. Following the rainfall, the Koca Creek overflowed; the bridge providing transportation between the villages of Gökmaslı, Soğullu, and Çataklı was submerged.
Teams were dispatched to the region upon notification. It was reported that expansion work has been initiated at the point where the creek opens into the Black Sea.

A person who recorded the final state of the submerged bridge with a mobile phone camera stated, “This is our road leading to the Gökmaslı, Soğullu, and Çataklı direction. Our road is closed, and the connection between the 3 settlements has been severed. We are currently stranded in the village. Our region has not experienced such a flood disaster for about 40 years.”
