Following warnings from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), heavy rainfall made its impact felt across the city. The precipitation negatively affected daily life, particularly in some districts on the European side.
Due to the downpour, which was effective in Sultangazi, Küçükçekmece, Bahçelievler, Bakırköy, and Esenyurt, puddles formed on streets and roads. Traffic flow was disrupted in some areas, and drivers struggled to proceed.
Vehicles faced difficult moments on the D-100 highway due to accumulated water. It was reported that accidents involving property damage occurred in the regions where the rainfall was heavy.
Some citizens caught outside in the downpour were forced to walk in the rain, while others took shelter at metro and bus stops.
In the Cebeci neighborhood of Sultangazi, a business was flooded. In the Cumhuriyet and Esentepe neighborhoods of the same district, flooding also occurred in some homes and the parking garage of a business center.
