Drug operation on a passenger bus in Kayseri: 2 suspects arrested
During a search of a passenger bus stopped on the Malatya-Kayseri highway, 3 kilograms and 420 grams of drugs were seized, and 2 people were arrested.
In Kayseri, a search was conducted on a passenger bus that was stopped as part of police efforts against intercity drug trafficking.
Teams from the Kayseri Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch inspected a bus on the Malatya-Kayseri highway. A total of 3 kilograms and 420 grams of drugs were seized in the suitcases of E.T. (53) and M.V. (31), who were passengers on the bus.
The two suspects, who were taken into custody, were referred to the courthouse following health checks. E.T. and M.V. were arrested by the court on charges of "drug trafficking" and sent to prison.
In its statement regarding the operation, the Kayseri Provincial Police Department stated, "Our fight against drug and stimulant dealers will continue uninterrupted and with determination."
