Dues dispute in Ankara: 1 dead
In Ankara, an apartment manager who asked a resident for building dues was stabbed to death during an ensuing argument.
The incident occurred in a building on Mehmet Akif Ersoy Street in the Alsancak neighborhood of the Etimesgut district.
According to allegations, the building manager, M.D., asked S.D., who had not been paying dues regularly, to make the payments during the afternoon.
When S.D. refused to make the payment, a verbal argument broke out between the two.
As the argument escalated, S.D. stabbed the manager, M.D.
Upon notification by other building residents, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that M.D. had lost his life. While S.D. surrendered to the police teams arriving at the scene, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
