Education suspended in Ardanuç, Yusufeli, and Şavşat due to snowfall
Due to the snowfall affecting Artvin, education has been suspended for one day in the districts of Ardanuç, Yusufeli, and Şavşat.
The snowfall affecting the entire Artvin province continues to negatively impact daily life. In line with the warnings from the Provincial Directorate of Meteorology, measures have been taken due to the expectation of heavy snowfall and icing, particularly in the Ardanuç, Yusufeli, and Şavşat districts.
In a statement issued by the Artvin Governorship, it was announced that education in primary and secondary schools, special education and rehabilitation centers, and public education centers in the Ardanuç, Yusufeli, and Şavşat districts has been suspended for one day on Tuesday, November 26. It was stated that the decision was made to prevent potential transportation disruptions and to ensure the safety of students.
Additionally, pregnant and disabled personnel working in public institutions in the specified districts will be considered on administrative leave on the same day.
Authorities have warned citizens not to take their vehicles out into traffic unless necessary and to facilitate the work of snow removal teams.
