Election dispute in Kırıkkale ends in bloodshed! Mukhtar candidate shoots AKP district head with a rifle
Adem Irmak, the AKP Balışeyh District Head in Kırıkkale, was shot in the leg with a rifle by his relative, who is a candidate for mukhtar, during an argument over "votes" at a coffeehouse.
The incident took place at a coffeehouse in the Balışeyh district of Kırıkkale.
According to allegations, an argument broke out between AKP District Head Adem Irmak and Ş.İ., who is a candidate for mukhtar of the Oba neighborhood in the local elections.
During the incident, which escalated into an armed fight, Ş.İ. opened fire with a rifle, wounding his relative, District Head Irmak, in the leg.
Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Irmak was taken to Yüksek İhtisas Hospital by ambulance after receiving initial medical intervention from paramedics.
It was learned that Irmak, who is under treatment, is in good condition. The suspect, Ş.İ., who was taken into custody by police teams, is currently undergoing processing at the police station.
