Ex-husband horror: He killed his daughter and severely wounded his ex-wife
In Istanbul's Zeytinburnu district, a man who went to the home of his ex-wife, whom he divorced a year ago, shot his daughter and his ex-wife. The woman was severely wounded in the incident, while the daughter lost her life.
The incident occurred at around 17:50 in an apartment located in a private residential complex in the Sümer neighborhood of Istanbul's Zeytinburnu district. According to the information obtained, Ercan Ş. (53), who came from Ankara to reconcile with his ex-wife Türkan B. (39), whom he divorced a year ago, stayed in the apartment throughout the day. The ex-husband first shot his ex-wife Türkan B. and then his daughter Ceylinaz Ş. (19). While the mother and daughter collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, Ercan Ş. fled the scene.
Upon the neighbors hearing the gunshots and reporting the incident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While police teams took security measures in the surrounding area, medical teams intervened to assist the woman and her daughter. During the check, it was determined that Ceylinaz Ş. had lost her life, while the severely wounded Türkan B. was taken to the hospital after receiving initial treatment.
Following the work of the crime scene investigation teams, the body of Ceylinaz Ş. was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. After the investigation, police teams launched a large-scale operation to apprehend the suspect, Ercan Ş.
On the other hand, it was learned that Ercan Ş. has 5 criminal records for the crime of providing a place for gambling.
Türkan B.'s brother, Güney B., who was in the apartment at the time, stated in his testimony to the police that he heard two gunshots from the next room and that Ercan Ş. fled.
