Family members issue statement regarding the discovery of a family of 3 found dead in Mardin

At a press conference held at the Mardin Bar Association, the lawyers for the victim's family and the family of the deceased, Mehmet Kaya, were in attendance. Sadık Kaya, the brother of the late Mehmet Kaya, stated that the pain they are experiencing is indescribable, saying, "As a family, we have suffered pain, we have lived through pain. We no longer want anyone to experience this suffering. I have lived through this pain, and other families have as well. It makes no difference. The one who dies also suffersis experiencing, the one who killed is also suffering. We are devastated; our family has been destroyed. The other side's family is also devastated. People connected to them are in the same situation. We must now become aware.my [family/relative]" he said.

Lawyer Seher Acay, one of the attorneys for the victims' families, stated that the judicial process is ongoingand reminded that there is a confidentiality order on the file, noting that the judicial process is continuing with full seriousness.Lawyer Nurullah Öner also noted that there are no new developmentsother than the information already shared with the public regarding the file, stating, "There are 4 detainees. The investigative authority stated that the indictment will be prepared soon and the case will be othatthe path to be takenwas communicatedto us by the authoritiesin advance" they stated.

The incident occurred on November 25 in the Kızıltepedistrict, in the Turgut Özal neighborhood.Mehmet Kaya (37), his wife Berna Kaya, and their 5-year-old daughter Samyeli Kaya were found in the home where they lived dead.
