Father shoots his sons in inheritance dispute
In Adana, a father shot his two sons with a hunting rifle following an argument over inheritance. One of the sons lost his life, while the other was seriously injured.
The incident occurred on the evening of July 24 in the Gölbaşı neighborhood of the Seyhan district.
According to allegations, the father, E.K. (69), argued with his sons Nihat (42) and Mesut K. (34) over an inheritance. The argument quickly escalated into a fight.
During the fight, the father, E.K., opened fire multiple times on his sons Nihat and Mesut K. with a hunting rifle and then fled. The brothers collapsed to the ground covered in blood.
Upon notification, medical and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. Medical teams determined that Nihat K. had lost his life, while they transported the seriously injured Mesut K. to the hospital.
Teams affiliated with the Adana Provincial Gendarmerie Command apprehended the father, E.K., in a short time.
