Fell into apartment light well while cleaning

The incident occurred on September 30 at a home located on Sabah Street in the Anadolu neighborhood.

G.R., born in 1956, was cleaning her windows when she attempted to cross to the adjacent building to drain water that had accumulated on the roof of a structure they used as a coffeehouse.

While trying to cross to the other side via the one-meter-wide light well between the buildings, G.R. lost her balance and fell 3 meters down.

At that time, her daughter, G.R., who was cleaning in the next room, noticed that her mother would occasionally go to the adjacent building to clear water accumulated on the roof. However, after a while, when she received no response to her calls, she checked the area where her mother had been and saw her mother lying on the ground 3 meters below.

Following her daughter's immediate call for help, G.R. was taken to the hospital by ambulance and intubated, but despite all interventions, she passed away on Wednesday, October 2.

The body of the deceased G.R. was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
