Fire at a recycling facility in Küçükçekmece
A fire broke out at a recycling waste facility in Küçükçekmece. While there were no deaths or injuries, the facility was reduced to ashes.
The fire occurred around 01:00 at a recycling facility located on Sarmaşık Street in the Halkalı Merkez neighborhood.
The fire, the cause of which is not yet known, grew rapidly and completely engulfed the facility.
Upon notification by local residents, health, police, and numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene.
Following the initial intervention by the teams, there were no deaths or injuries, though dense smoke formed in the area.
Meanwhile, the fire was brought under control in a short time following the efforts of the firefighting teams, and cooling operations were initiated to extinguish the blaze. Police teams have launched an investigation into the fire.
