Fire at furniture warehouse in Küçükçekmece spreads to 2 buildings

The fire occurred around 00:30 in Hisar Street in the Kartaltepe neighborhood of Küçükçekmece. According to information obtained, a fire broke out in a furniture warehouse for reasons yet unknown.

The rapidly spreading fire also jumped to the food production facility and the wedding hall located next to the warehouse. Upon notification, numerous health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.

Six people trapped in the burning building were rescued by firefighters using ladders. The flames were brought under control after long-lasting interventions by the teams.

While smoke covered multiple streets due to the fire, there were no deaths or injuries. Vehicles remaining at the scene were removed from the fire area with the help of tow trucks.

While the fire, where dense smoke continues, has been brought under control, cooling and smoke evacuation efforts are ongoing.
