Flare thrown from wedding convoy sparks fire
In the Milas district of Muğla, a flare allegedly thrown from a wedding convoy ignited dry grass, causing a fire.
Moments of danger occurred during a wedding convoy taking place on Erdal Çerçi Street in the Burgaz neighborhood of Milas. A flare, thrown uncontrollably from one of the vehicles in the convoy, ignited dry grass on the side of the street and caused a fire in a short time.
Upon witnesses noticing the situation, the incident was immediately reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. The Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Milas Fire Department teams, who arrived at the scene in a short time, intervened quickly to prevent the fire from spreading.
The flames were brought under control before they could spread to surrounding buildings. While there was no loss of life or injury in the fire, property damage occurred in the area.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
