Flight to be held in memory of paraglider who lost his life
A flight will be held in memory of the paraglider who lost his life after falling from a height of 30 meters during the 3rd Traditional Paragliding and Plateau Festival held in the Oğuzlar district of Çorum.
Bayram Kurt, who was paragliding on the first day of the 3rd Traditional Paragliding and Plateau Festival held in the Oğuzlar district of Çorum, lost his life after falling from a height of approximately 30 meters.
In accordance with the decision taken, the events planned for the first day of the festival were canceled.
Making a statement following the incident, Oğuzlar Mayor Mustafa Cebeci said that a flight would be performed by paragliders in memory of the deceased paraglider.
"May God have mercy on him, may he rest in peace, I am very saddened"
Stating that he was very saddened by the incident, Cebeci said, "Today, while we were holding the Traditional Paragliding and Plateau Festival at the Oğuzlar Tekke Plateau, we encountered an unfortunate incident.
Our brother Bayram Kurt, whom we loved very much, valued, and have known for 3 years, lost his life as a result of a mistake.
May God have mercy on him, may he rest in peace. I am very saddened. As a joint decision of our fellow paragliders who came from all over Turkey, a flight will be held in memory of our brother Bayram. Once again, may our friend rest in peace," he said.
