Flood disaster in Karabük: Citizens being rescued by boats
Roads have turned into lakes, vehicles have been submerged in water, and stranded citizens are being rescued by boats.
Following heavy rainfall in Karabük, roads turned into lakes, vehicles were submerged in water, and numerous homes and businesses were flooded.
Heavy rainfall hit Karabük in the evening hours. Following the downpour in the 100. Yıl neighborhood, businesses were flooded and many parked vehicles were submerged in water.
Flooding occurred at many points in the city center. Municipal and fire department teams were dispatched to the region.
Drivers also struggled to proceed on the Karabük-Safranbolu road, which remained under water. It was reported that 45 kilograms of precipitation fell per square meter and that 110 reports of flooding have been received so far. Teams are continuing their work in the region.
