During inspections in Sakarya, 23 tons of curd cheese with expired shelf lives were identified and destroyed.
Teams from the Sakarya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry reached a significant finding during inspections of businesses involved in milk production and sales. Acting on the principle of 'Zero Tolerance in Food Safety,' the teams uncovered 23 tons of curd cheese with expired shelf lives.
These products were collected under the supervision of the Sakarya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and destroyed at a solid waste facility.
In a statement issued by the Directorate, it was noted that 'administrative sanctions were applied within the framework of Law No. 5996, and the products were destroyed under the supervision of our inspection officers.'
