Forest fire in Bursa brought under control
The forest fire that broke out in the Karacabey district of Bursa and spread over a wide area due to the wind has been brought under control following the intervention of teams.
The fire, which started near the village of Ekmekçi in the Karacabey district, grew rapidly due to strong winds and moved toward the village of Akçasusurluk.
As the flames approached the villages, gendarmerie teams began evacuating homes in the area as a precautionary measure.
While the expansion of the area affected by the fire caused great concern in the vicinity, citizens were moved away from the area under the guidance of security forces.
While numerous ground crews intervened in the fire, strong winds hampered the extinguishing efforts. Following the intensive intervention of the teams, the fire was brought under control.
