Forest fire that started in Bursa spreads to Balıkesir
The forest fire between the provincial borders of Bursa and Balıkesir continues to grow. Three neighborhoods on the border of Balıkesir's Dursunbey district and Bursa's Büyükorhan district are being kept ready for evacuation as a precautionary measure.
The fire, which started in a forested area around 14:00 between the Osmanlar, Mazlumlar, Piribeyler, and Adaören neighborhoods on the border of Bursa's Büyükorhan district and Balıkesir's Dursunbey district, grew rapidly due to the effect of the wind.

The fire is being intervened from the ground and air by the Bursa Regional Directorate of Forestry with 100 vehicles, 17 fire trucks, 7 water supply vehicles, 3 helicopters, 12 construction machines, and 350 personnel.
