Fraud operation by Burdur Police: 1 arrest
Legal proceedings were initiated against 4 individuals in the Bucak district of Burdur who were found to be defrauding citizens by engaging in illegal phone sales and IMEI cloning. As a result of the operation, a large number of items were seized, and 1 individual was arrested.
The Burdur Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams conducted an operation within the framework of combating smuggling and organized crime. As a result of the operations carried out by police teams, it was determined that the individuals operating in Bucak district of Burdur, who were generating illicit gains, causing tax losses, and victimizing citizens by engaging in illegal phone sales and IMEI cloning, were identified as E.Z, G.Z, O.A.A, and O.K. In the operation conducted on the residences, workplaces, and vehicles of the individuals, 27 illegal mobile phones of various brands, 52 illegal smartwatches, and 46 illegal commodities were seized.
