Fruit trees in Gülnar fall victim to agricultural frost
Agricultural frost in the Gülnar district of Mersin has damaged fruit trees, leaving farmers in a difficult situation.
Frost and snowfall in the Gülnar district have negatively affected fruit trees. In a written statement, Gülnar Mayor Fatih Önge noted that these adverse weather conditions have caused grievances for many farmers, particularly almond producers.
Mayor Önge stated that inspections conducted in the field since the morning hours revealed that the frost event caused serious damage to fruit trees. Emphasizing that they are in cooperation with relevant institutions to determine the losses of the farmers, Önge said, "We will act quickly to minimize the grievances of our producers and ensure that the necessary support is provided. I convey my best wishes to all our farmers."
Önge stated that the necessary steps will be taken to compensate for the farmers' losses and that they will do everything in their power regarding this matter.
