Gas leak during tarawih prayer in Ankara
In the Keçiören district of Ankara, 16 people were hospitalized after being affected by a gas leak originating from the natural gas heating system at a mosque.
According to the information obtained, some members of the congregation at the Fatma Bacı Mosque, located on Bağlar Street in the Karşıyaka neighborhood of the Keçiören district, began to feel unwell while performing the tarawih prayer.
Upon notification, health, fire department, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene.
The teams identified a carbon monoxide gas leak in the women's prayer section of the mosque.
The 16 people affected by the gas were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
