Governor's Office announced: Banned for 15 days
According to the statement from the Governor's Office, all actions and events have been banned for 15 days throughout the province of Antalya.
In the statement made by the Antalya Governor's Office, it was stated that: "All actions/events (marches, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-ins, setting up stands/tents, gatherings for any purpose, picnics, etc.) intended to be organized under the name of '-So-called- Antalya 10th Pride Month' events by communities, platforms, various NGOs, or individuals are banned throughout the province of Antalya for 15 days, from July 1, 2024, to July 15, 2024, in accordance with the mandatory provisions of Article 17 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911, titled 'Postponement or banning of meetings in simple cases,' and Article 11 of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442; all kinds of actions/events in open areas are prohibited."
