Groom raids container home and unleashes terror: Kills fiancée and her father
In Hatay, a man raided the container home where a family of earthquake survivors was living following a dispute during their engagement period, killing his fiancée and her father with a handgun.
The incident took place in a container city located in the Koçören neighborhood of the Defne district. A dispute arose between Lamiya Azazi (30) and a man named Üstün, who had become engaged about 6 months ago. Following the dispute, Lamiya Azazi decided to break off the engagement.
Late last night, the man raided the container where the earthquake-survivor family was living. The groom shot his fiancée, Lamiya Azazi, and her 65-year-old father, Yusuf Azazi, with a handgun he had brought with him.
Medical teams dispatched to the scene determined that the father and daughter had lost their lives. The bodies of the father and daughter were taken to the morgue following investigations at the scene.
It was learned that gendarmerie teams are continuing their efforts to apprehend the perpetrator of the incident. It was reported that Lamiya Azazi, who was a hairdresser, decided to break off the engagement because the groom did not want her to work.
Temem Azazi, who lost her husband and daughter, said, "My daughter's fiancé came yesterday; they had broken up just one day before. He shot her father first, then my daughter. There were no problems or issues between them. There was no argument either. My daughter had decided to break up. They got engaged in December and had decided to separate yesterday. I leave it to God. My husband was outside drinking tea and coffee. When the groom arrived, I called my husband. He shot my husband before he could even reach the container. My heart is burning because both my daughter and my husband are dead."
