Gunman opens fire at workplace: 12 injured
In Konya, an individual arrived at a workplace in an industrial zone and opened fire indiscriminately with a shotgun. 12 people who were at the workplace and in front of neighboring businesses were injured by shotgun pellets, and police have launched an operation to capture the fleeing suspect.
The incident occurred in the evening hours at an auto repair and maintenance shop on Bezirgan Street in the Horozluhan neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district. According to information obtained, an individual arrived at the workplace and opened fire indiscriminately with a shotgun they were carrying.
12 people present at the scene were injured in various parts of their bodies by pellets fired from the shotgun.
Upon notification, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Following initial intervention by medical teams, the injured were transported to various hospitals in the city center for treatment.
While police teams conducted a wide-ranging investigation at the scene, they have launched an operation to capture the fleeing suspect.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
