Harassment allegation at çiğköfte shop causes uproar
In Esenyurt, citizens flocked to a shop following allegations that the owner had harassed a young girl. The suspect, who locked himself inside the workplace, was taken into custody by police teams.
The incident occurred in the evening hours on 55th Street in the Turgut Özal neighborhood of Esenyurt, Istanbul. According to the allegations, K.A., the owner of a çiğköfte shop located on the street, harassed a 15-year-old girl who had come to the shop.
Upon learning of the situation, the family and a group of local residents entered the shop and assaulted the suspect. After a while, the individual locked himself inside the shop, and numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following reports.
The police teams dispersed the angry crowd and took the individual into custody, transporting him to the police station.
Following the incident, security measures were taken on the street by police, riot police, and special operations teams. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
