The incident occurred on the morning of April 21 in the İnönü neighborhood on Arnavut Street in Kastamonu. According to the information obtained, citizens living in the apartment building on the street called the 112 Emergency Call Center after noticing foul odors coming from an apartment.

Upon the report, fire department teams were dispatched to the apartment. The fire crews entered the house as a result of their efforts. The teams encountered the body of a pregnant woman in the house.

Following this, police, medical teams, and crime scene investigation units conducted examinations at the house.

It was determined that the body belonged to 23-year-old Elif Civil, who was 8 months pregnant.
