In Diyarbakır, a specialist sergeant killed his wife, who was in the process of divorce, in front of her mother, her sister, and their child, before taking his own life.
In front of a business at the Turgut Özal Underground Bazaar on Melik Ahmet Street in the central Sur district, specialist sergeant Muhammed Recai Işık (29) allegedly argued with his wife, Bedriye Işık (29), who was in the process of divorce, and shot her in front of her mother, her sister, and their son before committing suicide.
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that both individuals had lost their lives during their examination.
The bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following the crime scene investigation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
