In the Kulu district of Konya, an individual opened fire and set his house ablaze upon seeing police officers who arrived at the scene following a report of a domestic dispute. While no one was injured in the incident, the individual was taken into custody.
According to the informationobtained, Kulu DistrictPolice Departmentteamsresponded to a report of a domestic disputeat a 4-story building located on 138620 Street in the Yeni neighborhoodwent to the apartment building. Upon seeing that the police had arrived, thesuspect, identified as A.M., a Syrian national, openedfire from the door of hisfirst-floor apartment using a handgun, whichwas later determined to be a blank-firingpistol, and a rifle.The

suspect, whoalso started a firein thekitchenof the house, wasquickly apprehended by the teams.was neutralized and taken intocustody. The fire in the house was extinguished with theintervention of the fire department teams.

While there were no injuries in the incident, the neutralized suspect was taken to the DistrictPolice Department.He was taken to thestation, where legal proceedings were initiated.During the search conducted in the house following the incident, a blank-firing pistol,a rifle, cartridges,and narcotics wereseized.
