He paid the fine he issued to a martyr's father himself

In the town of Kozcağız in Bartın, gendarmerie traffic teams conducting routine inspections issued a 993 TL fine to a vehicle with license plate 74 AV 334 that was parked incorrectly. Traffic gendarmerie officer Y.Ş., who signed the fine receipt, learned that the driver of the vehicle he had fined was the father ofa soldier who was martyred in 1994while performing his national service in Bingöl during a clash with terrorists,specifically theclash that resulted in the martyrdom of Gendarmerie Commando Private Ahmet Dlearned thatthe driver was Ali Dönmez, the fatherof a martyr.

Upon this, the gendarmerie personnel, after his shiftHe knocked on the door of the martyr's father and introducedhimself. He stated that the finehe issued was aduty requirement, but thedriver was not comfortable with this,said Y.Y. said, "You gave your child for this homeland; we can never repay what we owe you," and stated that he would pay the traffic fine out of his own pocket. Y.Y.Ş. convinced the martyr's father, who did not want to accept the offer.

Martyr's father Ahmet Dönmez stated that he receiveda fine for a short-termpark while he had an urgentmatter, and thanked Y.Ş. for his sensitive approach.Dönmez said, "This behavioras a father, Itouched my heart.The fact that our state does not forget that we are the entrusted legacy of our child gives usstrength," he said, expressing hisemotions.

Following their conversation, Y.Ş.managed to convincethe martyr's father with difficulty, took the receipt, and made the payment.settled the payment.
