He shot his ex-wife in front of their child

According to allegations, the incident occurred on Şiremenli Street in the Tacettin Veli neighborhood of the district, where Burhan A. blocked the car of his ex-wife, Fatma G., whom he had divorced 1 year ago.

After talking with his ex-wife for a while, the man, as the argument escalated, opened fire with a gun without regard for the woman's child from her first marriage who was in the vehicle. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

While police teams took security measures in the surrounding area, the seriously injured woman was taken by ambulance to the Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine emergency department and placed under treatment.

Following the incident, Burhan A. went to the police station and surrendered along with the weapon. Police teams also conducted an investigation at the scene where the incident took place.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
