He stabbed his wife, who was in the process of divorcing him, at a grocery store

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred at a grocery store located at the Dörtyol Intersection on Atatürk Boulevard in the Taşucu neighborhood.

Allegedly, 37-year-old Ulaş D. attacked his 34-year-old wife, Latife D., whom he was in the process of divorcing, with a knife. It was learned that the suspect also wanted to use a rifle he had brought with him, but was unable to do so due to the intervention of the store employees. The individual left the rifle at the scene and fled. Police teams arriving at the scene initiated a search operation in the area. Ulaş D. was caught and taken into custody in a short time.

Latife D., who was injured in the attack, was taken to Silifke State Hospital after the initial intervention by medical teams. It was learned that the injured woman, who was taken under treatment at the hospital, was transferred to Mersin University Faculty of Medicine because her life is in danger.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
