He turned himself in to the police station with the body of his wife whom he killed in the car
In Konya, a man stabbed his wife to death inside a car and then drove to the police station in the same vehicle to turn himself in. The body of the woman who died in the incident was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Hüsamettin Çelebi neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district. According to allegations, Bekir Durmaz and his wife, Elif Durmaz, began to argue inside their car with the license plate 42 ADD 102.
During the argument, the driver, Bekir Durmaz, stabbed Elif Durmaz in various parts of her body with a knife he had with him. The driver then went to the Özalkent Police Station with his wife, who was found stabbed in the vehicle, and turned himself in.

Bekir Durmaz, who told the police that he had stabbed his wife, was taken into custody. Upon the arrival of medical teams dispatched to the scene, it was determined during their initial check that Elif Durmaz had lost her life.

Following the investigation by police teams, the body of Elif Durmaz, who lost her life in the incident, was taken to the Konya City Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
