He wrote a 6-page note and committed suicide after the murder: 'I might kill my mother too'

The incident occurred on the evening of April 19, around 20:00, at a residential complex in the Huzurevleri neighborhood of the Çukurova district.

Allegedly, Engin Yüce (31), who was said to have psychological problems, began arguing for an unknown reason with his girlfriend, Şevval Çiftçi (23), whom he met at his home.

During the argument, Yüce killed his girlfriend with 10 stab wounds using a knife he took from the kitchen, and then ended his own life by throwing himself from the 12th-floor apartment.

SIX-PAGE NOTE SURFACES

It was revealed that after killing his girlfriend and before committing suicide, Yüce wrote a 6-page letter on the dining table. In the note seized by the police, it was learned that he used expressions such as, "My mother and brother have been playing games on me for a long time. My mother conspired against me. I am about to go crazy, I might kill my mother too, and I might kill myself."

The bodies were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsies. The laments of the grieving mother, Sibel Çiftçi, who came to collect her daughter's body, broke hearts. Çiftçi cried out, "My child is gone, my child is lying inside. I couldn't reach my lamb. I couldn't reach my heart. My child, my lamb, you didn't think of me at all, my lamb. You suffered so much, did you call out for me to reach you and I didn't hear, my lamb? Bring my daughter, I miss her so much."

It was learned that after the autopsy procedures are completed, the funeral will be buried in the Boynuyoğunlu village of the Andırın district in Kahramanmaraş.

On the other hand, it was learned that the father of the murdered young woman, Tayyar Çiftçi, is a civilian employee at a police academy, and her mother is a housewife.
