Heavy downpour hits Ankara
While most of the country is struggling with high temperatures, heavy rain and hail have begun to affect many parts of Ankara.
A heavy downpour has begun in the capital, Ankara. The General Directorate of Meteorology had previously issued warnings stating that heavy rainfall was expected in Ankara. The downpour, for which warnings were also issued to be careful and take precautions against potential adverse conditions, has begun to show its effect in many parts of Ankara.
Moments showing water pooling on roads and vehicles struggling to move, particularly in Ankara's Etimesgut district as well as Çankaya, Yenimahalle, and Sincan, were captured on camera by bystanders. The rainfall is expected to continue throughout the day.
