Hostility that began on social media ends in death

The incident occurred around 19:00 on Selçukbey Street in the Selçukbey neighborhood of the central Yıldırım district. According to the information obtained, 22-year-old Fırat Berke Alkan and his friend Yusuf D. met with individuals they had been arguing with on social media and over the phone to talk.

The argument between the parties quickly turned into a knife fight.

Following reports from citizens in the area, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene for Fırat Berke Alkan and Yusuf D., who were seriously injured by knife wounds during the fight.

Alkan, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all medical interventions and lost his life. It was learned that Yusuf D.'s treatment is ongoing.

Following the incident, teams from the Yıldırım District Police Department and the Public Security Branch Directorate launched an investigation and quickly tracked down the suspects.

In an operation carried out by the Public Security Branch Directorate's Motorcycle Police Teams in the Görükle neighborhood of the Nilüfer district, G.Ö., A.A., and A.B.T. were apprehended along with the weapon used in the crime and taken into custody. It was learned that efforts are continuing to capture G.Ö., who is currently at large.

A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
