Husband who entered pond to cool off dies, wife rescued at the last moment
In the Buldan district of Denizli, a man who entered a pond with his wife to cool off went missing; search efforts resulted in the recovery of his lifeless body. His wife, who tried to help him, was rescued by fishermen.
The incident occurred in the Dımbazlar neighborhood of Buldan district. According to the information obtained, İbrahim Kayaaslan and his wife Samime Kayaaslan, who live in the Dindarlı neighborhood of Manisa's Sarıgöl district, came to the Dımbazlar Pond for a picnic. While his wife was preparing food, İbrahim Kayaaslan entered the water to cool off and disappeared after a while due to the muddy nature of the water. Seeing her husband disappear, Samime Kayaaslan also entered the water to find him. Amateur fishermen who rescued the woman as she was about to drown reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the report, numerous gendarmerie, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the region.

The teams that arrived at the scene launched a search for İbrahim Kayaaslan. Following intensive search efforts by underwater search and rescue divers and fire department teams, İbrahim Kayaaslan's lifeless body was found and recovered from the pond.
The death of İbrahim Kayaaslan left his relatives in mourning. His body was taken to the morgue of the Council of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy. It was learned that his wife, who was taken to Buldan State Hospital, is continuing to receive treatment.
