Ignored 'stop' order, drove truck at police
In Sivas, a driver who ignored a 'stop' order from police teams and drove his truck toward the officers managed to evade them during the day. The driver, who was being tracked by police, was caught inside the truck during the night.
According to the information obtained, the driver of the truck with license plate 58 BH 540, identified as Ö.K., did not comply with the police's stop order and drove the vehicle toward the officers. The driver, who fled and managed to lose his trail, was located late at night on Menderes Street in the Yeni neighborhood.
Police teams repeatedly called for the driver to open the door. The driver, who was sleeping inside the truck under the influence of alcohol, could not be woken up for a long time. Upon the request of the police teams, the fire department was dispatched to the scene. The driver's relatives, who arrived at the scene, opened the truck with a spare key.
The awakened driver, Ö.K., was taken to the Police Station. Ö.K., who endangered the lives of the police officers, was fined approximately 30 thousand TL for various offenses.
