Individual who killed dog by hanging it from a tree with a chain taken into custody

In the Dikilitaş neighborhood of Pınarbaşı district, an unidentified person killed his dog by hanging it from a tree, claiming that it ate too much.

In a video recorded by citizens, when the person who hung the dog from the tree was asked why he did it, he replied, "there isn't enough food." Following the investigation launched after the video was shared, it was reported that the individual was caught by gendarmerie teams and taken into custody.

In a written statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated: "It has been observed that images of a dog being brutally killed by being hung from a tree in the Dikilitaş neighborhood of Pınarbaşı district have appeared on social media platforms.

The incident in question has been investigated in detail by the Kayseri Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Environment, Nature and Animal Protection Team, and the suspect has been taken into custody in line with the instructions of our Pınarbaşı Public Prosecutor.

The necessary actions regarding the incident in question are being followed meticulously."
