Intervention continues at hazelnut factory fire
As a fire that broke out at a hazelnut factory in Trabzon grew to engulf the entire building, firefighting teams continue their efforts to extinguish the blaze.
A fire broke out at a hazelnut factory named Cirav, which operates in the Arsin Organized Industrial Zone located in the Arsin district.
While the fire, the cause of which has not yet been determined, grew in a short time, numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

The fire, which has not yet been brought under control, grew and engulfed the entire building.
Efforts by teams attempting to bring the flames, which illuminated the night, under control are ongoing.
WE HAVE BROUGHT 90 PERCENT OF THE FIRE UNDER CONTROL
Providing information on the fire, which has been largely brought under control, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Head Muharrem Öztürk stated, "The report came in at 16:50. Our teams set out 1 minute later. Our first team arrived from the Arsin district. We have 30 vehicles from 5 districts. We have 60 personnel. Including TİSKİ, we have 40 vehicles here.
We have been intervening for approximately 4 hours. There was a silo on the side. Our primary goal was to prevent the fire from spreading to that silo. There was also another factory on the side. We tried to extinguish the fire without letting it spread to them. Our colleagues are working selflessly.
Inside, there are hazelnuts, hazelnut oil, hazelnut shells, cardboard, and wood. For that reason, the extinguishing efforts took time. One of our personnel was affected by smoke. Additionally, the owner of the property had a minor accident.
Thank God, there is no life-threatening danger. We have brought 90 percent of it under control. A small part remains. We will open that part with construction equipment and perform cooling. After that, we will cool the entire building," he said.
