The Istanbul Governor's Office announced that as of 15:00 today, the Taksim station of the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, the İstiklal Street exit of the Şişhane station, and the F1 Taksim-Kabataş funicular line will be closed until further notice.

ARE THE TAKSIM METRO AND FUNICULAR NOT OPERATING TODAY?

Metro Istanbul announced that the Taksim and Şişhane stations' İstiklal Street exit and the F1 funicular line will be closed on Saturday, May 31. The written statement included the following information:

'In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, as of 15:00 today, our Taksim station on the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, the İstiklal Street entrance of the Şişhane station, and our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be closed to operations until further notice. Our trains will not stop at the Taksim station and will continue their journey.'
