Killed by the child he invited to his home
In the Saimbeyli district of Adana, a municipal worker was stabbed to death by a 15-year-old child he had invited to his home. The child, who fled after the incident, has been taken into custody.
The incident occurred in the Fatih neighborhood of Saimbeyli district. According to allegations, Mehmet Tunçöz (34), who worked as a laborer at the municipality, went to his home with T.A. (15), whom he had been drinking tea with at a park.
Upon encountering his mother at home, Tunçöz said, "I am going to give T.A. the clothes that are too small for me, that is why we came together."
Mehmet Tunçöz's mother then went out to the garden to pick fruit.
A short while later, T.A. ran away holding a knife. When Tunçöz's mother entered the house, she saw that items were on fire and her son was lying on the floor covered in blood.
Upon notification, medical teams arrived at the scene and determined that Mehmet Tunçöz had lost his life. T.A., who fled after the incident, was caught by police teams at the location where he was hiding.
An investigation into the incident has been launched by the prosecutor's office.
